Croatian travel: Public transport lauded
28 October 2008The attractions of the Croatian public transport system have been applauded in a blog posting.
According to Serenity Quest, the country's public transportation compares well with that found in places such as India and China, with the blogger describing it as "clean, modern, comfortable, friendly and efficient".
Those taking a vacation in Croatia will find local buses run on a regular basis, while passengers are friendly and polite, often having conversations with each other, the writer claims.
In addition, the blog reveals: "Musical choices vary by drivers but I've heard a lot of Bob Marley and Croatian folk songs sprinkled in with American country music, American music from the 50s and opera."
The quality of the long-distance buses is also noted, with the posting highlighting Mercedes Benz vehicles which have padded seats, lights and ventilation.
Earlier this month, Jet2.com announced it will open a new flight route to Dubrovnik, which will allow people to have "absolutely wonderful" vacations in Croatia.
