Curtain opens on Zagreb student film festival
18 March 2009A student film festival showcasing the very best of the silver screen has opened in the Croatian capital of Zagreb today (March 18th).
The Days of Film event is hosted at the city's Student Centre Cinemas and will exhibit a number of the most recent productions to come out of the Balkan nation.
Among the genres on offer at the festival are features, animations, documentaries, short and experimental films.
The entire programme is free and visitors have until March 22rd to gorge themselves on the country's cinematic delights.
According to the Days of Film official website, 2009 boasts not only an "enviable quality" of productions, but at 289, also the most the event has ever seen.
Travellers in the capital for the festival may also want to spend a few days exploring what else Zagreb has to offer, such as culturally-rich art galleries and museums, as well as an exciting night life scene.
