Cyclists could inspire others to holiday in Croatia

Four cyclists gearing up for an innovative challenge may inspire plenty of others to book a holiday in Croatia this year.

The young men are set to cover 2,300 km on a route that will spell out the word 'welcome' down the length of the country, reports the Croatian Times after a piece by Nova TV.

Savudrija in western Croatia has been earmarked as the start point for the expedition, while the group is scheduled to end in Dubrovnik after spelling out the greeting.

As well as travelling on two wheels, the men will at times switch to kayaks and parachutes in a bid to cover the required ground, the news source notes.

They are due to start next week and the huge tour of Croatia will come to a close on June 5th.

Anybody planning a similar voyage or a standard holiday in the country may wish to benefit from Croatian Villas' current sale on accommodation, with up to 50 per cent off on various bases until April 5th.
