Dalmatia vacation recommended
01 June 2009The Dalmatia holiday location of Zadar has been described as a "perfect Croatian city for a weekend break".
In a new report, the Times suggested that the city of Zadar has a number of attractive elements that make it an ideal place for a vacation.
Citing the ancient and modern architecture, as well as the "fun-loving spirit" of the city, the newspaper said the capital of Northern Dalmatia is "enjoying a renaissance".
Budget airline Ryanair now has cheap flights to Zadar, which apparently boosts the attractiveness of the area even further.
The Times reporter, Tony Kelly, also commented favourably on the accommodation offered by the region.
As well as the obvious holiday attractions of hot weather and beautiful scenery, the Dalmatia area is the venue for The Garden Festival.
From July 3rd until July 14th, the town of Petrcane will host music, artwork and other creative exhibitions, providing another reason for tourists from across Europe to take a Croatia holiday this year.
