Dance club opens in Dubrovnik

A new dance venue was opened in Dubrovnik in October with a celebratory event hosting well-known electronic music star Darren Emerson.

The Factory Club, which has enough room for 1,500 people, is in the former paint and lacquer factory opposite the Mercante shopping centre.

A set by the former Underworld star was played on the opening night along with Mr M Jaksa on the saxophone and Factory Club's resident DJ Funkhole

The Factory Club will be an addition to the city's nightlife which already hosts Latin Club Fuego that plays Latin music and modern techno rhythms.

Dubrovnik also provides the visitor with a mixture of ancient traditions and a modern culture in the winter months including historic buildings to visit.

Often called the Pearl of the Adriatic, the city is quieter over the New Year period than in the summer months giving tourists more space to explore.
