Depeche Mode fans 'set for ultimate Croatian holiday'
09 February 2010Fans of Depeche Mode may be eyeing a dream opportunity to see their heroes in concert while taking a Croatian holiday.
The band is playing in Zagreb on Sunday (February 14th) at the Arena Sports Hall, according to the Croatian Times.
Hundreds of Depeche Mode lovers may already be heading to the Balkans this weekend for a stay in a Croatian villa, while others may now decide to book a last-minute break.
The group, led by singer Dave Gahan, have requested a Mercedes car - possibly to do some sight-seeing in one of Europe's most historic cities - and healthy Mediterranean food, for which Croatia is famous.
Originally, the concert was due to be held in May of last year, but had to be postponed because of illness to Gahan, the newspaper explains.
Other musical icons due to appear in Croatia this year include The Police - including lead singer Sting - and Deep Purple.
