Diana Krall to serenade people on holiday in Croatia
30 September 2009Singing sensation Diana Krall will warm-up people on vacation in Croatia this winter with a special performance in Zagreb.
On November 13th, the jazz singer and talented pianist will be playing material from her latest studio album Quiet Nights, which was released earlier this year.
Krall is stopping off in Croatia as part of a globe-spanning tour in support of the record.
It is made up of bossa nova covers of famous works from across the 20th century including The Boy from Ipanema, Walk on By and Every Time We Say Goodbye.
The Canadian songstress has sold countless records around the world and won noticeable critical acclaim for her work in the 1990s, with the albums When I Look in Your Eyes and Live in Paris both scooping Grammy awards in the US.
Krall, who is known for her contralto vocals, has worked with a number of top writers and musicians throughout her career, including regular collaborator Elvis Costello, who is also her husband.
The Zagreb performance is sure to be popular with residents and holidaymakers alike.
