Dino Merlin concert set to bring tourists to Split
12 March 2010A popular singer is set to perform in Split's Spaladium Arena later this month, which may lead some fans to travel to Croatia to catch the gig.
Dino Merlin, a Bosnian performer best known in parts of central Europe, will take to the stage at the coastal city's indoor arena on March 18th, the Croatian Times reports.
The Split concert will be the singer's first in Croatia for two decades and will be part of a tour to promote the new album Ispocetka, which translates as From Scratch.
Merlin tells the newspaper: "I am very happy to sing in Split, especially because this is a city that has launched top singers such as Gibonni, Oliver Dragojevic and Dino Dvornik."
Those who choose to take a Croatian holiday to coincide with the gig will also be able to enjoy Merlin's support acts - Croatian star Ivana Banfic and Germany-based Edo Sanki.
Other famous musical acts set to perform in Croatia in the coming months include Bob Dylan, who will perform at June's InMusic festival.
