Diver opens diving centre in Zadar

One of the world's best free divers has opened a new teaching centre in Zadar, Croatia, it has been reported.

The Curavic Diving Academy in the town on the Dalmatian coast is Kristijan Curavic Kike's fifth centre, according to homesgofast.com.

It is the largest diving development in Croatia and Kristijan also plans to open another in Novi Vinodolski on the Adriatic coast of the country.

The diver wants to make people more aware of the environment by helping them to understand the ecology and environment of the country, the source says.

According to the website, Zadar is an ideal place for the project as there are plenty of outdoor activities in the area and a thriving social scene.

The town is situated close to the country's national parks, including Krka National Park and Plitvice Jezera which have waterfalls and lots of wildlife.
