18 March 2010Tourists searching for an upbeat and energetic break should head to Croatia during April, after it was announced a drumming act is set to perform.
Yamato - The Drummers of Japan will put on a show in Zagreb for the first time on April 19th, the Croatian Times reports.
The group will perform their greatest work on a specially-built stage in front of 3,500 people at the Dom Sportova Hall.
According to the newspaper, "the world-famous ensemble's performances feature a collage of music and dance produced by the best Japanese drummers".
The concert in the Croatian capital - where they could be watched by people taking a spring break in one of Europe's most historic cities - forms part of the group's world tour.
Both men and women take part in the performance, which gives spectators an experience of the ancient Japanese tradition of Taiko drumming.
Other musical acts set to take to the stage in Croatia in the coming months include Bob Dylan and Dino Merlin.
