Dubrovnik Tourist Board wins awards

The Dubrovnik Tourist Board has been commended for its high quality and excellence at an awards ceremony in Opatija, the Kvarner tourist centre.

Winners were chosen by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian Radio and Television industry and the Croatian Tourist Board.

In the category for best tourist resort in the Adriatic, Dubrovnik came second and was awarded the Tourist Flower - Quality for Croatia 2008 accolade, according to Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

The city's Palace Hotel came first in the best Croatian five-star hotels category and the Hilton Imperial Hotel came second.

In the category of best four-star hotels the President Hotel came second and the ACI Marina was awarded a Special Prize, according to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

Croatian workers were also recognised at the event and Dubrovnik employees won in three out of 25 categories rewarding those who contributed to Croatia's image.

The Dubrovnik Tourist Board recently recommended the spa and wellness facilities offered in Croatia for the tourist who wants a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
