Dubrovnik 'a fine holiday destination'
05 May 2009The city of Dubrovnik has been described as "one of the finest and oldest walled cities in Europe".
According to budget airline Jet2, a Dubrovnik holiday is "fast becoming" one of the top destinations for 2009.
In a statement, the carrier called the southern city "beautiful", before saying: "[It] is steeped in history and culture, providing plenty of sightseeing to satisfy any traveller."
The comments came ahead of this weekend's launch of a number of new flights from the UK to cater for those who want a Dubrovnik vacation.
Cheap flights to the city from Northern Ireland's capital Belfast went on sale on May 2nd, while one day later holidaymakers were able to purchase tickets to the destination from Leeds-Bradford Airport.
Anyone who opts to purchase flights may also enjoy a scenic drive up the coast towards another bustling and historic Croatian city, Split.
