Dubrovnik airport commended
08 May 2009Further evidence has been revealed as to why taking a Dubrovnik holiday is a good idea.
As well as being full of history and tourist attractions, the scenic city apparently has one of the top airports around.
British Airways recently voted the city's hub the best short-flight destination it currently flies to.
Dubrovnik Airport, which many people pass through en route to Croatian villas, finished ahead of 26 other locations in terms of quality of passenger and aircraft hosting.
The poll is carried out by British Airways twice a year - ahead of both the winter and summer seasons.
Other airlines that fly to Dubrovnik include budget carriers easyJet and Jet2.com.
Extra routes have been scheduled between Dubrovnik and the rest of Europe for later this year, with both the aforementioned airlines increasing their services to the southern Croatian city.
