Dubrovnik 'awash with colour'
12 March 2009The Adriatic hotspot of Dubrovnik has been singled out for lavish praise by one of the UK's top daily newspapers.
As reported by the Daily Mail's Jenny Coad, the ancient coastal city is the perfect destination for fans of fascinating European culture and the warm climes of the Mediterranean.
Specifically, she highlights the resort's diverse attractions, ranging from the "hidden beaches" on surrounding islands to the "airy" Museum of Modern Art.
Ms Coad wrote: "It is achingly picturesque, with its impressive walls curing out into the sea, a sheltered harbour on the east side and beaches leading to inviting water.
"It is awash with colour, from the bunting of the swimming gala in the harbour to the sand-coloured limestone of the walls and red-tiled roofs."
US residents looking to visit Dubrovnik have until the end of this month to book discounted flights to the Adriatic city from New York.
