Dubrovnik for diving

Some of the best cliff divers in the world will be heading to Dubrovnik this weekend for a special athletics event.

The third stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving Series 2009 takes place in the southern Croatian city on July 11th - and it is set to be a thrilling occasion.

People staying in Dubrovnik accommodation may get the opportunity to go and watch the proceedings.

Indeed, a statement from Red Bull Cliff Diving gave a plethora of reasons to explore what the Dubrovnik coastline has to offer.

The city was described by the diving group as "one of the most beautiful spots on the Adriatic coast" and as having "magical scenery".

British Airways are currently encouraging travellers to take a holiday to Dubrovnik between September and December by offering cheap deals to the destination.

Interested parties must have booked their tickets by July 14th if they want to take advantage of the offer.
