Dubrovnik holiday 'combines the flavours of Europe'
06 May 2011Some people may consider a holiday in Dubrovnik to be the best of both worlds – with its hot weather and beautiful beaches making it the ideal sunshine destination, while its history ensures there is something for the discerning culture vulture.
Families could book a trip to the city safe in the knowledge that there will be something for everybody upon arrival.
And this is a view shared by the National, which suggested the fortifications of Dubrovnik are among its most remarkable sights.

It went on to describe it as having a flavour of various aspects of Europe – potentially a result of its central location where east meets west.
The Daily Telegraph recently named five great free places to visit in Dubrovnik, including the overlooking Mount Srd.
