Dubrovnik holiday 'recommended by BA'

British Airways (BA) has launched a new city break campaign designed to get tourists out and about in some of the world's finest urban areas – with holidays in Dubrovnik one of its top options.

The UK's national flag carrier has made flights to a total of 45 cities available to individuals, including those heading from Britain to the southern tip of Croatia.

Advertised under the slogan 'Around every corner is a new adventure', the scheme will aim to draw jet-setters to beautiful locations.

Of course, many of the most famous destinations – such as New York and Paris – are included, but those who fancy a warm winter sun and a plethora of history could instead choose to travel to Dubrovnik.

The city was recently named by CNN as one of the top ten places in the world to propose marriage to a loved one, with the nearby island of Lokrum said to be a particularly romantic spot.
