Dubrovnik home to 'delightful' cuisine
27 March 2009The sun-soaked Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik has been praised for its diverse array of food and drink by a leading travel journalist.
Writing for the UK's Telegraph, Jane Foster has heaped praise on various eateries around the southern Croatian city, including the Tovjerna Sesame and the sea food saturated Orhan.
Ms Foster wrote: "In a stunning location just outside Pile Gate, you'll find Orhan's delightful waterside terrace at the foot of the floodlight Lovrijenac Fortress.
"Seafood lovers might opt for the fish platter for two, which varies daily depending on the morning's catch."
The author also heralded the ancient walled city's nightlife, highlighting the "ostentatious" Gils Pop Longer and "laid back" Lazareti as two of the beacons of Dubrovnik's clubbing scene.
Holidaymakers in the US eager to visit the resort have until March 31st to book discounted flights with British Airways from New York City.
