Dubrovnik in winter 'undiscovered and unknown'
04 December 2008Dubrovnik in Croatia is different in winter than in summer, when tourists can discover the real city which is full of history and science, according to a writer on a blog.
Winter in the city is undiscovered and unknown, and those visiting in these months will get to know an amazing, beautiful city which could not be imagined, Nike Labas says.
There are numerous dining places on Stradun or in the nearby streets where tourists can have a break from walking around the city and have something to eat.
It is also recommended by the writer that tourists listen to concerts, visit the national theatre, take a walk on the city walls and visit one of the numerous museums.
There is an aquarium in St John fortress, exhibitions in ten showrooms and galleries in the city and plenty of opportunities to take photographs.
Croatia is not just a summer holiday location, as the area of Dubrovnik is also ideal for a more peaceful winter break, according to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
