Dubrovnik is 'top summer destination'

Dubrovnik has been named as one of the best destinations for those looking to escape the recession gloom at home and jet abroad this summer.

According to a list compiled by Flightmapping.com, an organisation which provides details about which airlines fly to which destinations,
Dubrovnik has a great deal to offer British travellers and is one of most picturesque towns in Europe.

Often referred to as the "pearl of the Adriatic", it is home to a number of historic attractions and picturesque lakes, with temperatures regularly reaching 30 degrees C throughout the month of August.

"Flights to Dubrovnik are available from Belfast International, Birmingham International, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London Gatwick, Manchester and Southampton," the website noted.

As well as the Dubrovnik region, those planning to holiday in Croatia will find plenty of other enchanting towns and destinations to explore, including Zagreb – a medieval city renowned for its architecture and exceptional beauty.
