Eat top-quality food for low prices on holiday in Croatia

People taking holidays to Croatia later this month will be able to take advantage of a scheme to offer the finest local food at bargain prices.

Restaurant Week involves scores of eateries in Zagreb and will allow visitors to enjoy a three-course meal for 100 kunas (£11.44), a fraction of its normal price.

All of the options on the menu are made from fresh and local ingredients, meaning those who take part by eating at a Zagreb restaurant could be gaining an authentic flavour of Croatia.

The deal kicks off on September 27th and runs until October 3rd, giving holidaymakers just enough time to secure flights and accommodation in Croatia.

Previous Restaurant Weeks have taken place in London, New York and Paris, but this will be the first opportunity for many people to taste cuisine from central Europe.

Zagreb, which is the capital of Croatia and has a population of approximately one million, is regarded by some as one of the continent's most historic cities.
