Enjoy "quieter time" on holiday in Croatia this autumn
24 September 2010People who would like to enjoy the numerous benefits of a holiday in Croatia without the crowds and heat of mid-summer should travel to the country in the coming weeks.
The autumn period is highlighted by George Webster, writing for CNN, as a time that may suit those after a more relaxing break.
"For visitors looking for a quieter time, fall, after the summer crowds have left and the weather remains warm, is when the Dalmatian coast really comes into its own," he says.
Mr Webster recommends a number of spots on Croatia's Adriatic coastline, as well as some of its off-shore islands, as ideal places for a peaceful spell in the sun.
From fashion to nature, history and climate, there is a location in Croatia to enjoy it all, he notes.
One island that could be worth a visit is Hvar, which Wu Shangyuan, writing for Today, recently described as having "postcard-like" views.
