Enjoy the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments in Split

Taking in some culture is on the to-do list for many visitors to Croatia.

Split in particular has a lot to do and see, and chief among the attractions that it is worth paying a trip to is the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments.

The venue, which exhibits objects from as far back as the 9th century, houses some truly exceptional pieces that no visitor will want to miss.

Among the items on display are jewellery, weapons, stone monuments and other archaeological finds from the country.

Another advantage for visitors on budgets is that the museum offers free entry, making it a great place to head to for a cheap day out.

It was established in the late 19th century and was initially called the First Museum of Croatian Monuments.

In total there are several thousand archaeological finds on display at the museum, so any keen historian or even just a cultural enthusiast will find a day out there to be a rewarding experience.
