Famous stars stage concerts in Croatia

Music stars from across the world have been visiting Croatia to stage their concerts in 2008 as it has become a popular destination for them, it has been reported.

In the spring Chris Rea performed at Zagreb Fair on Women's Day as part of his The Return of the Fabulous Hofner Bluenotes tour, javno.com says.

The summer saw several concerts including the VIP Music Festival, where the headline act was Nick Cave and the Varazdin Radar Festival, which hosted Bob Dylan.

Juliette Lewis and the Licks performed in Zagreb, Lenny Kravitz visited Zadar in August, Iron Maiden staged a concert in Split and Snoop Dogg arrived in September.

In the autumn, the Kaiser Chiefs, Alicia Keys and Nouvelle Vague all performed and at the end of the year Gotan Project and Lil' Kim staged shows, the source says.

Jose Carreras and other opera singers recently gathered in Croatia for a concert.

The world-famous singer performed in the humanitarian concert in Petrovic Hall in Zagreb on December 19th, the Croatian Times reported.
