Fashion labels hit Croatia

Croatia has welcomed two new fashion labels to the country, it has been reported.

In news which may interest fashionistas planning a holiday in Croatia, a specialised shop has been opened in the nation to promote the clothes of Gate One and G-Paul, according to Javno.com.

To mark the opening, the famous Parisian fashion labels threw an event which featured Croatian models Iva Dragovic, Petra Maroja, Jelena Oreskovic, Lav Stipic and Bojan Polanec showcasing a selection of items.

Star Sport manager Toni Crnjac told the website the two brands' philosophies focus on youth, freedom and comfort, with both taking an urban approach to design free from strict boundaries.

Recently, Javno.com revealed that young Croatian fashion designer Igor Galas was one of the 29 finalists in the Fashion Academy Awards.

Although Mr Galas did not win any of the awards, he reportedly received the loudest applause from the audience when his collection was shown.
