"Fine" fish restaurant recommended for travellers to Dubrovnik
10 March 2010People heading to the Croatian city of Dubrovnik have been advised to eat out at a "fine fish restaurant" by The Telegraph.
Proto, located at Siroka 1 in the ancient settlement in south Croatia, sits on a "cosy" rooftop terrace in the Old Town of Dubrovnik, the newspaper explains.
It offers a wide range of dishes, with specialities including black squid-ink risotto and locally-produced wine from Korcula.
Describing Proto's location as being "an elegant cliffside setting," the publication advises that it will cost approximately £20 per person to dine at the restaurant.
If the specialities do not tempt people to visit Dubrovnik and Proto, they may wish to remain confident that a suitable meal will be available from a menu boasting plenty of Dalmatian fish dishes.
Dubrovnik was last month described as "the most beautiful jewel of Croatia's cultural heritage" by the Croatia National Tourist Board.
