Haiti aid concert could entertain those in Croatia
18 January 2010Spaladium Arena has been earmarked by organisers as the venue for a concert in aid of victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The Croatian Military Invalids of the Homeland War Association has announced it hopes to hold a concert featuring Split's top singers and musicians, the Croatian Times reports.
Although no fixed date has yet been set, those in Croatia at the time may find an evening of top-quality music is to their liking.
The organisation's Dalmatia head Kristijan Petric tells the newspaper: "We wanted to do something for those people because we believe there are more than 200,000 victims in Haiti."
All funds raised from the event - as well as donations from tourists on a Croatian holiday at the time - will go to victims of the natural disaster.
Haiti was struck by the earthquake, measing 7.0 on the Richter scale, last Tuesday (January 12th).
