Harley Davidson riders invited to holiday in Croatia
14 January 2011Riders and fans of the legendary Harley Davidson range of motorbikes could be tempted to take a holiday in Croatia this year in order to take part in a special event.
The largest ever convention of the vehicles is expected to descend on the town of Biograd between May 26th and 29th, the Croatian Times reports news website ezadar.hr as stating.
In total, organisers expect about 20,000 of the bikes to roar into town for the biggest official Harley meeting in history.
Riders and enthusiasts are expected to attend from all over Europe, perhaps leading to heavy demand for accommodation in Croatia.
The news source suggests those who show up can expect the "drive of their lives in beautiful Croatia", with some of the Dalmatian coast's roads sure to get the adrenaline pumping.
Biograd is located in the heart of the Dalmatian coast, just south of Zadar and approximately 80 miles from Split.
