Holiday in Croatia for top Zagreb restaurants
02 March 2011Tourists who book a holiday in Croatia – and specifically in or close to Zagreb – have been advised of a trio of wonderful restaurants fit for any budget.
Alistair Fraser, writing for the Daily Telegraph, named Konoba Didov San as his tip for an affordable place to eat.
He noted it specialises in delicacies such as frog stew, eels and veal, while it is located in the scenic space behind St Mark's Church.
Secondly – and for those with a mid-range budget – the author suggested Agava, which is to be found on Zagreb's main boulevard of eateries and offers traditional Croatian dishes.
Finally, Mr Fraser identified Pod Grickim Topom as an expensive but classy choice, stating a meal there includes "great views across the city" and a menu packed with local food.
Budget airline easyJet recently started operating flights to Zagreb from London Gatwick, making it easier for Britons to visit the historic resort.
