Holiday in Croatia 'transports people to another world'
20 September 2010Croatia is a magical holiday destination that promises plenty to those "who wish to be transported into another world".
Wu Shangyuan, writing for Today, notes the country's grand palaces and horse carriages as symbols of the environment found on the Dalmatian coast.
The author goes on to urge people looking for a spot of sunshine mixed with culture to allow Croatia to "sweep you off your feet".
And perhaps one of the most attractive qualities of Croatia is its cost, with warmth and fascinating sights offered to people on almost any budget.
Mr Shangyuan reveals visiting attractions often costs "next to nothing", while there are plenty of old towns, churches and fortresses available to enjoy free of charge.
Such a setting is arguably offered nowhere else within a two-hour flight of London's airports.
Those seeking flights to Croatia have a range of options, including services by easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways.
