Holiday in Dubrovnik 'can include Greek excursion'
08 March 2011Tourists planning to take in as much of Europe as possible this summer may wish to centre their plans on a holiday in Dubrovnik.
Responding to a reader of Adelaide Now, travel expert the Doc said Greece – and, in particular, Athens – is a country that can be explored from Croatia.
Although jet-setters will have to leave approximately 24 hours to journey between the nations, this trip can be done by boat, so is an opportunity to sail the beautiful waters of the Adriatic.
One route the advisor comes up with is Dubrovnik to Bari in Italy and then on to Athens, although this should be planned in advance.
Croatia's central location may make cities such as Dubrovnik the perfect base for a tour of the continent.
Travelling to and from Croatia by air is also an option, with Dubrovnik Airport dealing with more than 1.25 million passengers last year.
