Holiday in Hvar for top arts and crafts fun
14 March 2011Fans of arts and crafts might like to start planning their holiday in Hvar for this summer, after details of a prestigious event emerged.
The Arts and Crafts Fun Festival is due to take place on the sun-kissed island from May 28th to June 18th, reports the Croatian Times.
It will feature a host of attractions, such as inspiring speeches from industry experts, with four lecturers set to deliver six workshops.
Also on the bill is the chance to learn and practice some of the most refined skills in arts and crafts, such as papier mache, silk and wool felting and calligraphy, the newspaper notes.
In addition to the workshops, there will also be special nights held at local cafes and a series of parties and exhibitions designed to show off the finest products Croatia has to offer.
Hvar is located off the country's Dalmatian coast and is most easily reached via a short ferry ride from the city of Split.
