A record number of people flocked to Night of the Museums – an evening where exhibitions around the country stayed open until late and welcomed guests free of charge – reports the Croatian Times.
Some 314,659 art lovers showed up at the 160 museums and galleries that were taking part in the event, which took place on Friday (January 28th).
The venues were spread across 67 towns in the country, ensuring those on holiday everywhere from Dubrovnik and Split to Zagreb and Rijeka had an opportunity to attend.
Upcoming events that may appeal to those looking to book accommodation in Croatia include the carnivals in Dubrovnik and Samobor, both of which get underway later this month.
