Holidaymakers in Croatia invited to take a look below the sea
06 September 2010Diving in to the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea while on holiday in Croatia is a popular pastime with thousands of visitors.
But now, tourists in the country can get the closest look yet at what really lies beneath the deep blue sea, both in terms of wildlife and hidden treasures.
The largest exhibition of images ever taken below the surface off Croatia's Dalmatian coast is to go in display in Dubrovnik later this month, the resort's tourist board states.
Including more than 60 photographs, the portfolio of work will be available to view in the ancient city from September 19th-27th.
Although catering for the tourism market is a significant priority for those in Croatia, the organisation is keen to point out the event has national significance.
Dubrovnik lies in the far south of the country and has a population of just over 40,000, according to figures taken from the most recent census in 2001.
