Holidays in Dubrovnik 'are currently thriving'
15 March 2011Those who book holidays in Dubrovnik will certainly not be alone once they arrive in the ancient city, as it is currently enjoying a surge in popularity.
That is the view of Monsters and Critics, which says there are a number of highlights to watch out for.
A trip – via cable car – to the top of the overlooking Mount Srd is a joy and offers an opportunity to get a bird's-eye view over Dubrovnik.
Meanwhile, the resort is perhaps famous above all else for its historic city walls which run around the perimeter of the Old Town area, the website notes.
When it comes to choosing somewhere to eat, the portal has some advice, stating: "The alleys are home to rustic restaurants and taverns with benches and tables laid out in the open beside the sun-kissed stonework. Many of these establishments offer genuine Croatian specialities."
Adelaide Now recently recommended teaming a trip to Dubrovnik with an excursion to Greece as part of a European tour.
