Hunter Davies heads on Croatia travel trip
15 June 2009A Croatia travel trip brought much enjoyment to the life of famous writer Hunter Davies recently, it has emerged.
In a report for the Daily Mail, the man who wrote the only authorised biography of The Beatles revealed how an Istria vacation had lots to offer.
Staying in Rovinj, Davies had a number of things to keep him occupied including various walks that offer some of the region's most fantastic views.
He was particularly keen on a "stunning 15-minute walk along the harbour wall to Rovinj".
As someone who did not know much about what a Croatia travel trip would entail, he commented: "How can I never have heard about this architectural and historical gem?"
Davies added that Rovinj offered a feeling of "affluence, fun, prosperity and western sophistication".
Holidaymakers in the Istria region may also like to explore what there is to offer in the nearby popular tourist destinations Vsar, Funtana and Pula.
