Hvar and Brac islands 'have plenty to offer travellers'
07 April 2011The islands located off Croatia's coast are of such quality and variety that there is sure to be something for all types of travellers.
Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office, said Hvar and Brac in particular are ideal spots to head to.
She suggested the former is "a place to be seen" and highly popular with the rich and famous, while it is also home to some "peaceful retreats".
Meanwhile, Brac appeals to an entirely different target market, as its renowned coastline and healthy supply of entertainment are just right for youngsters.
"Brac is a family friendly island, known for its wonderful beaches including the famous and instantly recognisable Zlatni Rat," stated Ms Matesic.
Those who would like to see more of the area are advised to go island hopping, with the expert suggesting this is a superb way to "witness the rich contrasts" between resorts.
Brac is located off the central Dalmatian coast and can be easily reached by ferry from Split.
