Hvar summer events underway

The wide selection of summer events are now underway on the Dalmatia island of Hvar, according to the Croatian National Tourist Board.

Between the start of May and the end of October, many people who have opted for a Dalmatia holiday can get involved in "a diverse cultural programme" of activities on the island.

The tourism group suggests that anyone choosing a Dalmatia vacation during the time could be in for an arty experience, as Hvar "is proud of its art heritage".

"Hvar hosts numerous theatre troupes, musicians and folklore ensembles from Croatia and abroad," it states, before adding that the summer events "enrich the days spent under the bright sky of this sunny island".

Ferry services between Hvar and other islands such as Bol and Brac are frequent, allowing people who holiday Croatia style to choose their accommodation and use it as a base to explore more than one region.
