ICE: Croatia in top ten bargain destinations
25 August 2009The International Currency Exchange (ICE) has named Croatia in the top ten destinations to offer value for money when abroad this summer.
According to the list, tourists can get 11.29 per cent more Croatian kunas to the British pound now than at the beginning of January.
Head of marketing for ICE Andrew Hamilton said that the results may mean those who were planning a British holiday may re think their plans.
He said: "It's likely that many families who stayed in the UK this summer will be thinking about a last minute deal to escape the damp and dreary weather that's hit much of the country.
"With more unsettled weather predicted for the bank holiday, ICE has produced the top places to go to get better value for the pound."
Croatia was ahead of a number of destinations in the list that have been mooted as great budget choices for holidays this year, including Bulgaria and Turkey.
