Iberia to resume flights to Croatia
14 June 2011Spanish airline Iberia has confirmed it will resume its flights to Croatia, with the first service due to arrive in Dubrovnik this week.
It will operate flights to the historic city from Madrid on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer, giving tourists another option when it comes to travelling to Croatia.
The carrier has been running flights to the city since 2009, but traditionally stops during the winter, reported the Financial.
As well as the service to Dubrovnik, Iberia will be re-launching the Madrid to Zagreb route, which can be enjoyed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Some 18,000 seats are expected to be up for grabs on the Dubrovnik flights and the airline believes many people will be given the opportunity to explore more of Croatia once touching down in the Dalmatian resort, the newspaper noted.
Holidaymakers looking for flights to Croatia from the UK can use carriers such as British Airways, Croatia Airlines and easyJet, all of whom fly to the country.
