Indonesia considers Croatia link-up
28 April 2008Indonesia is exploring the possibility of linking up with Croatia for research purposes, according to the secretary of the Indonesian embassy in Budapest.
Arena Sri Victoria, told ANTARA on Sunday that the chances of Indonesia and Croatia embarking on a research partnership are good after the Indonesian Ambassador to Croatia visited the Croatian Ruder Boskovic Institute.
"The chance for cooperation in the research and education sector became wide open with the presence of Drazen Vikic Topic at the meeting," Arena Sri Victoria said.
Drazen Vikic Topis is the state secretary of the Croatian Ministry for Science, Education and Sports affairs and has backed the establishment of a research cooperation between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Croatia is set to strengthen its ties with Europe with a new oil pipeline which is being built.
The proposed pipeline is to be built between Russia, Croatia and Serbia and end up in Italy. It will have an estimated capacity of between 60 and 90 million tonnes of oil.
