International street festival to hit Zagreb
18 March 2009A multicultural street festival is soon to hit Zagreb, the Croatian Times has been reported.
Those keen on travelling to the Croatian capital for the 13th annual Cest is d'Best, which is held between June 4th and 14th, have plenty of time to make their travel arrangements in advance.
As part of the proceedings, visitors to the city will be treated to a number of open-air attractions and events.
Performers hailing from more than 30 different countries are scheduled to appear at the festival, according to the newspaper, while designers have been working hard to provide a modern, colourful new logo to accompany the events.
Visitors to the city during the ten-day showcase may also be interested in acquiring one of the traditional souvenirs on offer, which are said to resemble the popular Croatian confectionary licitar.
One of Europe's most culturally rich and diverse nations, Croatia has been ruled by the Roman Empire, Austria, Hungary and Yugoslavia throughout its extensive history.
