International tourism fair to arrive in Croatia
09 March 2009A major international tourism fair is set to arrive in Croatia at the start of next month, as the country looks to attract more visitors.
Between April 1st and 5th, Zagreb will play host to the Crotour 2009 showcase, which this year will focus on the Adriatic nation's potential as a golfing destination, the Croatian Times reported.
Through the event, the country's national tourism board and Ministry of Tourism are hoping to generate new ideas on drawing in new holidaymakers, as well as financial investment, according to the publication.
Visitors to the event at the city's fairgrounds will also have the opportunity to explore some of Zagreb's other attractions, which include the Croatian National Theatre and the Mimara Museum.
Travellers to Croatia from the US this summer may be interested to know that British Airways is operating discount flights from New York to Dubrovnik for those who book before the end of this month.
