Istria and Dalmatia highlighted as best for Croatian wine

Croatia is well known for its fine dining and culture, but its wine is still making headway to become internationally renowned.

Anthony Rose, writing for the Independent, has indicated some of the best places to visit for wine connoisseurs heading to Croatia on holiday.

Noting that the country has distinctive wine regions, Mr Rose suggested that the Dalmatian coast on the Adriatic and Istria are the two places that wine lovers should head to.

Croatia produces both red and white wines and, as such, fans of either - or both - will find plenty of different drinks to experience to experience.

Istria, located near the country's border with Slovenia, has some of the most beautifully scenic spots in Croatia .

Rovinji with its famous bell tower and Pula are just two of the popular locations to visit, both of which offer some fabulously cultural experiences and, of course, some of the best wine the country has to offer.
