Istria holiday 'offers a variety of attractions'
18 May 2009Anyone who opts for an Istria vacation this year is in for a "variety" of holidaying activities to choose from.
That is the view of the Croatia National Tourist Board, which has just released its newsletter for May.
In the publication, people on an Istria holiday are advised to take advantage of the culinary delights, extensive bicycle routes, wine tours and olive oil trails.
Indeed, earlier this month it was reported that Croatia's olive oil pedigree is so good that Iran is looking at importing the produce.
Croatia's tourism group's newsletter states: "The Istrian tourist industry has realised for a long time that year-round tourism can not only be based on sunshine and the sea."
Visitors from Germany, Great Britain, Scandinavia and France flock to the region, the publication adds, while it is also close to the Austrian, Slovenian and Italian holiday markets.
