Istria region of Croatia "is a perfect place for a holiday"

The rural delights of the Istria region in northern Croatia make for the "perfect place for a holiday", in the view of one expert.

The peninsula of Istria is located close to a number of quaint and historic towns and is by the Adriatic Sea, arguably one of Europe's most beautiful waters.

Indeed, earlier this week the Dubrovnik Tourist Board suggested the Adriatic is the bluest part of the world when it is seen from space, perhaps highlighting the sea's cleanliness.
