Kastav can be a cultural spot for a Croatia holiday
24 June 2011Travellers could do well to book a Croatia holiday that coincides with a series of cultural events in Kastav.
The Kastav Summer of Culture will begin on July 1st and run until August 26th and will encompass a wide range of activities, performances and attractions as part of an attempt to showcase the town's commitment to the arts.
Some of the main events to look out for include the International Guitar Festival and exhibitions at the Holy Trinity Chapel Gallery, as well as a host of ballet, music, theatrical and dance shows featuring performers from around the world.
Those looking to book accommodation in Croatia for the event can also take advantage of a number of other attractions in Kastav, including the 15th century Church of St Lucy and an Illyrian necropolis that may have been built as long ago as the sixth century BC.
Croatia appears to be thriving as a holiday destination for travellers from around the world.
Figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics show more than 46,000 foreign holidaymakers visited the main tourist attractions in the country during the first three months of the year.
