Last-minute Croatian holiday 'will allow art fans to catch exhibition'
27 January 2010Fans of a top Croatian artist may wish to travel to Zagreb this week in order to catch his latest exhibition.
The World Around Us - which features a number of drawings by Franjo Kovacic - opens in the Croatian capital tomorrow (January 28th) at the Sunce gallery, reports the Croatian Times.
Mr Kovacic's work often revolves around a theme of the human body, although he also dedicates time to illustrating the relationship between characters in his pieces.
"The drawings feature beautiful lines, an excellent sense of organisation of space and harmony of composition," the newspaper states.
Zagreb is considered by some to be one of Europe's most historic and beautiful cities - so Mr Kovacic's display could be just the start of the fun for those travelling to Croatia.
The acclaimed artist has had four solo exhibitions as well as being part of more than 40 group events.
The World Around Us is the latest in a string of art exhibitions to take place in Croatia in recent months, following displays such as that provided at the Croatian Catholic Medical Society's Gallery over Christmas.
