March is Opatija's 'month of wellness'
06 March 2009Travellers to Opatija this month are in for a real treat as March has seen the resort go wild for wellbeing.
For the next three weeks, visitors will be able to benefit from reduced prices at many of Opatija's health and wellness spas, with some centres offering reductions of as much as 50 per cent, Opatija.net reported.
According to the website, the Grand Hotel Adriatic, Hotel Bristol Spa and Beauty and Milenij are just some of the locations taking part in the promotion.
Other attractions in the Istrian town include its 14th century Benedictine Abbey, Saint Jacob's Park and the Villa Angiolina - which was previously a popular residence with the Austrian imperial family.
Earlier this week, Opatija played host to the final heats for this year's Eurovision song contest in Moscow. Split native Igor Cukrov ran out eventually winner with his touching ballad 'Beautiful Tena'.
