Montenegro provides visitor with "glorious sunsets"
02 December 2008A stay in Montenegro allows the visitor to enjoy glorious sunsets every evening and provides the chance to swim surrounded by beautiful mountains.
The fishing village of Dobrota overlooks the Adriatic Sea, while nearby Kotor is an atmospheric town with a maze of alleys, a writer in the Vancouver Sun says.
A visit to the pretty town of Persat allows the tourist to explore the twin offshore islands; one of which is natural and the other, which is artificial.
The first, St George, has a monastery and the second, Our Lady of the Rocks, was built over 500 years on the hulls of sunken ships, the writer says.
Visitors can take a boat to the islands and on the artificial one there is a Baroque church where weddings are still held today.
Podgorica in the country was recently selected by SkyScanner as one of the secret cities in Europe which is worth a visit and is a great holiday destination.
